ReplyDeletedon't you just love Governor's Island! But wait until you ride on the West side bike trail...all the way to the GW Bridge!!! The gardens at Battery Park are so pretty it is worth a trip just to see them. So much fun!!!! We even rode over the Brooklyn Bridge....a little scary as the people (pedestrians) don't move off the bike path, they kind of spill over and don't move!!! I politely rang my bell the first few scary times then just said, "MOVE" or BIKE PATH. I'll walk it next time! Have fun as you keep exploring the city. We were on the promenade as well and thought of you!
