I don't know how I missed out on the existence of "sun tea" – but I was at home over the weekend and my Dad's girlfriend (who is from the South) was talking about it. And I was like "ya ya … iced tea." And then she described it and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It's just water + leaves + sun = tea. Literally, SUN tea.

sweet simplicity! the world is a wonderful place.

I've heard of sun tea recently but didn't know how it worked. It looks refreshing and really simple. I may have to try it out on my window sill too šŸ™‚

I'm always scared of leaving water in the sun… maybe I should get over this fear and try this!
    What recipe did you use?

    • Reply Erin June 19, 2012 at 1:39 pm

no real recipe, just a spoonful of dried leaves and water set out in the sun!

I live by sun tea, even in the winter! It's actually even BETTER in the winter, because it's heartening to yield something warm and cozy despite the cold weather.
