christmas tree hunt: a story.

November 30, 2010

this weekend, james and i took a long drive into the country to pick out our very first christmas tree.
james again james was sure to don his best lumberjack coat and matching hat. the hunt was long and difficult.
christmas tree standing we really wished there was hot chocolate and donuts to eat but our hunger pains subsided when we finally found our perfect little buddy. christmas tree fallen we set right to work. with only a few swift cuts, our pine-y guy was ready to make his way with us back with us to the big city. christmas stump we strapped him onto the top of james’s trusty car and brought him home. on the car the end.

ps.  it’s awfully hard to avoid sounding like a sap-thirsty killer when writing a story about cutting down a christmas tree. sorry ’bout the damage little buddy.

Hey Erin! Cute pictures. Made me laugh because Matt and I drove out to a farm this weekend to get our tree as well, and he also wore his lumberjack plaid jacket and hat, layered under another coat… You'd think we lived further north than you guys! Haha… happy holidays!
