my week in objects (mostly).

September 11, 2009
1. this golden ticket.
chocolate{because even though i know it’s not really a golden ticket, every time i open one of these chocolate bars i get excited. also, the brownies that came about as a result of the opening weren’t half bad}.

2. my own striped socks.socks
{because nothing feels cozier in the early morning}.

3. new pencils.pencils
{because they look like traditional pencils, but they’re mechanical. always sharp without all the mess}.

4. library books.books
{because they smell like school. and they don’t cost a thing}.

5. books in packages.packages
{because they feel almost like presents. and presents are nice}.

what little something made your week?

Neat pencils. My week was made by a surprise package in the mail with a handmade book and notecards. And it was wrapped real pretty like.

I think the library books are my favorite. I always smile when I walk into a library knowing, like Christmas day, that there are treasures to be found in abundance. lovely pics!!

so happy for you that you have your books for school–well at least some of them. my week was made by a new library card that I sealed up last night with photo laminating sheets.

Wonderful objects as always! Library books also made my week as well as homemade sweet potato fries and a long phone call from an old friend!

I love the socks!! Learning to crochet with a friend, our puppy standing up against the window looking out, next to Bella (it looked too cute) and home made organic seedy bread that has made the best sandwiches this week. I hope your weekend gives you some relaxation and fun. xoxo

Golden ticket! Yes! I love how often books from childhood pop into our heads like that.

2 loaves of banana bread, oh and the fact that the week was only 4 days long. Yahoo! Happy weekend, friend.
