my week in objects (mostly).

April 3, 2009
five little things that made my week.

1. irony. irony
{because two days after posting about the beautiful ginko tree outside of my office, i walked into my office and saw this. luckily the tree was not being cut down as i feared, only trimmed. that would have been tragedy, not irony}.

2. wisteria.wisteria
{because it smells so damn good. and it reminds me of southern france in the springtime. more on this later}.
3. my sister’s tribute to captain von trapp.von trapp 3

4. my little black danskos.
shes
{because sometimes they get neglected–pushed aside for more fashionable footwear. but on a rainy week they are so trusty. thank you, dansko. sorry that my photo of your awesome shoes is fuzzy}.

5. pastel m&ms.mms
{because they really get me through the work day. and they’re so cheery}.

what little something made your week?

your blog gives me warm feelings.

i am staying a week in a small town in between aix and avignon in a 200 year old mas not next week but the week after.

i had to set this up way in advance because the family doesn’t have internet.

    or a telephone.

anything i can pick up for you? i’m a little early for the figs.

anyway. more than that though, thank you.

i love wisteria as well. it does smell sooo good. i also love hyacinth because they smell sooo good too!! i was lucky enough to walk by some yesterday that were in bloom. needless to say, i walked a little slower when i was by them and breathed in the sweet smell.

Cutting down that tree would have been a tragedy – it’s beautiful. What a lovely view out your window!

I still have a job today! That’s something I’m pretty excited about–it’s been an incredibly stressful week and there were too many laid off today in our company. I’m so excited the week is done!

    Loved the pastel M’s

i used to wish captain von trapp was my dad when i was little (once he stopped being so uptight, that is). i totally read your sisters post on him earlier; i didnt even know you two were related. hilarious and somewhat weird.

the blogosphere is a very small world sometimes.

i haven’t smelled wisteria either but i’m sure it’s gorgeous – i also haven’t been to france but i’d imagine that the wisteria there would be fabulous. 🙂

What a wonderful list – That first picture along with the story made me laugh! I don’t believe I have ever smelled wisteria either but it sure is beautiful and to be reminded of France…not bad. Very happy you left me a comment – I can’t wait to continue looking through your blog.
