Hi, my name is Erin Boyle. I'm the writer and picture-taker here at Reading My Tea Leaves. I began this blog in late January of 2009 as an experiment in picture-taking and place-making. At the time, I was living in the little city of Wilmington, North Carolina working as an archivist and soaking in the warm southern sun as I photographed my downtown. Graduate school took me to Providence, Rhode Island and these days, Brooklyn, New York is the place I'm calling home. I write sometimes-stories in this space from my perch in the tiny studio apartment I share with my antique bottle collection and my husband, James.
When I'm not working on blog posts or tiny apartment projects, I spend my time working on freelance projects that bring people and places to life through photographs and stories. I'm a graduate of Brown University's program in Public Humanities, where my focus was on oral history, place-making, and historic preservation. I'm particularly interested in projects that revolve around neighborhoods and the people who live in them. reading my tea leaves All rights reserved © Blog Milk Powered by Blogger
