about me.

Hi, my name is Erin Boyle. I'm the writer and picture-taker here at Reading My Tea Leaves. I began this blog in late January of 2009 as an experiment in picture-taking and place-making. At the time, I was living in the little city of Wilmington, North Carolina working as an archivist and soaking in the warm southern sun as I photographed my downtown. A graduate program in Public Humanities at Brown University took me to Providence, Rhode Island and these days, Brooklyn, New York is the place I'm calling home. I write sometimes-stories in this space from my perch in the tiny studio apartment I share with my antique bottle collection and my husband, James.

When I'm not working on blog posts or tiny apartment projects, I'm the Associate Editor at Gardenista. Come visit me there!
