{and the still-tiny feet that go in them.}

3. these green shoots.grass | reading my tea leaves

4. these eggs.eggs | reading my tea leaves

{and a very favorite gift.}

5. these dogwoods.dogwoods | reading my tea leaves
{nary a week goes by without spring flowers. can’t be helped.}

other things:

$1 coffee.

all the messy, greedy, ordinary days that are theirs to squander.”

salt, fat, acid, heat.

spring facial sorted.

    “My Week In Objects” are my favorite! I read the article “Has Coffee Gotten Too Fancy?” earlier this week and shared it with all my fellow coffee lovers, so glad you enjoyed it too. Have a lovely weekend, to great things!

    I love that coffee article, but refrigerating traditionally brewed coffee is NOT the same as a cold brew iced coffee.

    Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    Where is the picnic basket from? Are they easy to carry or ‘wish I’d taken a bag’ if you don’t have a car…

    I spent the last hour reading about Rachel Scott. Thanks for leading me to her. Silent Spring is now on my reading list.

    What a fantastic article about the refugee experience. I hope everyone takes some time to read it!

    You inspired me to force some dogwood branches from my mom’s tree two weeks ago, and they bloomed this week for Easter! My mom loved that tree for fifty years and it is our first Easter without her, so it feels like she’s with us. Thank you!

    I love that coffee article and think it’s incredibly important in the face of all the gentrification taking place in NYC and cities across the country. In Harlem, I see how coffee becomes yet another dividing line between haves and have nots. And I’ve learned how developers help bankroll these fancy coffee shops to attract high-paying tenants and leave long-time residents feeling like, “that place isn’t for us.” Thanks for sharing the gems, per usual!

    Thank you for the Rachel Carson link, so many other good links from there as well. Her words are hauntingly prescient.
