my week in objects (mostly).

April 7, 2017

five little things that made my week.

1. this jacket.jacket | reading my tea leaves

{because i wore it *almost* every day this week. and never felt too cold.}

2. this sun patch.floor | reading my tea leaves

{and the joy of working from a new perch.}

3. this sweater.sweater | reading my tea leaves

{a springtime indulgence with zero regret.}

4. miss jaster’s garden.miss jaster's garden | reading my tea leaves

{and a reader for reminding me of it and my mom for toting her copy here to us.}

5. this cheerful tangle.flowers | reading my tea leaves
{dirty window, ugly bars, screen, and all.}

other things:

books are magic.

ambition.

a candle + some.

why attack the arts?

gauzy tabletops.

cooking up trouble.

the time of year for daydreaming about maine.

in the meantime, hankering for a closer-to-home trip.

    Those candles remind me of ones I saw up at a store near my parents’ in Vermont. The candle was made of some sort of wax blend that, when heated, turned into a nourishing hand treatment. (I wanted one so badly but it was a wee bit out of my souvenir budget for that trip.) Best of all it came in a hand thrown pottery vessel which I believe they sold refills of the wax blend for. It was so dreamy…

    Yes to that last photo! And all of the rest of them too, reminding me that spring is here. 🙂

    I’m wearing almost the exact same denim jacket right now – but Levi’s. 🙂

    Also, that sun patch is the loveliest thing. <3

    Happy weekend!

    I also indulged in a new spring sweater. I’ve been on the search for an indigo cotton number for a few years and Mollusk Surf Shop put out the perfect slouchy fisherman’s sweater this spring and I also have no regrets!
