my sister, laura, is a farmer. these days, she's planting a vegetable garden for a rustic resort deep in the oregonian wilderness. the place is called the minam river lodge and it's reachable only by foot, horseback or small plane. who wants to plan a trip? here, a few things that i imagine she could use on her grand adventure. the optimism badge is totally optional. i assure you, she's the most badass optimist i know.
1. be optimistic badge // best made co. 2. sun hat // terrain 3. seeds // johnny's seeds* 4. gardening shirt // bridge & burn 5. wildness route finder // best made co. 6. socks // brook farm general store 7. tools // kaufmann mercantile
8. soap // herbivore botanicals

I would love to go there!
ReplyDeleteYou see, the main and only issue I have with this series is that you serve up such a feast for the eyes with your good taste that you leave me with a 'things-i-want' list that gets longer and longer by the week. I guess the only remedy is to start purchasing things off the list. Oh well. :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a peaceful job but I'm sure there are a lot more factors that come with it. But it would be a nice way to bond with you sister :)
ReplyDeleteOooh . . . I love this one! That sunhat is inspirational.
ReplyDeleteI would love to slip my feet into a pair of those socks. :) Looks comfy.

Ohhh I've always wanted to go! It's legendary among Portlanders. My father visited probably 20 years ago and still talks about the wood fire hot tub.

ReplyDeletei love that gardening shirt!
Minam river lodge sounds like such an adventure! Brings to mind Keane's Somewhere Only We Know song...
ReplyDeleteThese round-ups are the best. And your sister sounds awesome! Can't think of anything better than a bad-ass optimist :)
