the funny thing about getting engaged is that suddenly everyone wants to know every detail of your pending nuptials. maybe this is not funny. maybe it is normal. but truth be told, james and i haven't had much time to devote to planning. so, while we're thrilled to be engaged, the ins and outs of the big day have definitely taken the back seat to things like, oh, finishing grad school and finding gainful employment. nary you fear, friends and family, we will get to planning soon enough.

in the meantime, all of the spring flowers popping up have gotten me dreaming about the kinds of flowers we might have. i'm hoping to do most of the flowers myself, so i've decided to test out a bouquet a month for the rest of the growing season. {no, we have not decided when we are getting married, but i'm pretty committed to having local flowers, so i'm thinking the bouquets might help us along}.

april's bouquet? why daffodils, of course.

  3. I love it! Also can't wait to see what is to come. These days I can't help but notice as each new leaf emerges and each new species begins to open their flowers. I'll post pictures of wildflowers as they bloom on my blog for added inspiration.

  5. Breathtaking! Whenever you guys decide to tie the knot, it will be gorgeous. Bouquets make finishing grad school and job hunting better, too.

  6. such a great idea to do the bouquets yourself. It will save you so much money all the while adding a personal touch! And clearly you have a knack for it. I look forward to seeing bouquets for the rest of the months to come!

  7. Oh, I can smell them all the way from India!

And although I'm quite late to the table, a huge CONGRATS on the engagement- that is so terribly exciting and I'm sending you huge hugs and well-wishes from many seas away. xoxo
