one woman’s trash.

living near a college campus can have its downsides: late-night parties, slum-lords, terrible parking, but come may, most undergrads start to move out and in the piles that they leave behind on sidewalks you can sometimes find little treasures. james spotted this little beaut in a pile of castaways. itโ€™s the perfect staging area between our very tiny counter and our stove. and the perfect spot to prepare a summer morning breakfast.

croissants not made by yours truly. found here. best in city. platter by may luk.
table2
ignore the heinous cabinets. someday my landlord will let me paint them.

What a great find! Now that all the students are moving out you've inspired me to check around campus on trash day for hidden gems!

Oh my, I love that table! And you're a woman after my own heart as I always scour the curb around trash day to see if any new treasures can be found!

P.S. Thanks for the Texas French Bread recommendation! So delicious!

Oh my, I misread the sentence about the croissant at first and thought you said that you did make it and I was about to hate you! (In a purely envious way). I just attempted to make croissant for the first time last week and they didn't turn out looking nearly that nice! Tasted good, but looked ugly.

    Lovely table.

It is true! When our daughter moved out of the dorms, we saw a table and chairs were set by the dumster. My husband refinished the top and reupholstered the chairs. Love it!
