my week in objects (mostly).

November 7, 2009
five little things that made my week.

1. these crinkly leaves. and lots of others, too.leaves
{because i got to crunch my way through them all week}.

2. these fluffy eggs.
eggs
{because a hearty breakfast was just what i needed on an early morning}.

3. this hot cocoa.
cocoa
{because look at all of the whipped cream. and because it was had over breakfast with a friend. and friends are very nice to have}.

4. this cheery heart.
heart
{because it was just the kind of message i needed to see on a grumpy day}.

5. colorful and other-worldy cauliflower.
cauliflower{because it means that the winter farmer’s market is open. and because it is just so damn beautiful}.

I have a pile of leaves just like that where I live, though I step very carefully around them…maybe I'm a strange one! 🙂

    Such lovely lovely moments there…

    Your cocoa looks divine!

My week was made by the loaf of Wild Flour Bread fougasse that Chris and I shared while seated at the long table in the bakery with a view of the oven in which the bread was baked.

The cream on that cocoa looks delish. There's a cafe in Beacon Hill with a hot white chocolate drink…it has more cream on top than drink inside, and it's lovely 🙂

I just discovered your blog and I feel like I have met an old friend!

My expressions were priceless as look through your photos and comments and see so much of myself – so many things we both enjoy, as do your other readers – it is so wonderful to find a kindred spirit!

I don't usually post or follow blogs, but you are now permanently on my daily list of 'to do' and I love my lists!!
Happy day and thank you for brightening mine!

This picture of the purple, green and yellow cauliflower inspired me to make this:

I couldn't find purple but the bright yellow made the dish so beautiful.
